Update fields in a macro

Hello

I have created a macro which includes a step to update fields, but it does
everything but update the fields. Within the macro I have put the cursor
within a field to be updated, and selected some of the text but this does
not work.

My macro is recorded and I am wondering if there needs to be another way of
expressing the field update command within a macro.

Sol:

ActiveDocument.Fields.Update

You don't need to do anything else: don't even bother selecting anything:
that command updates all of the fields in the main text story regardless of
where the selection is.

If you are trying to update "specified" fields, get back to me.
