Ben
I've created a template to put on our server which
inserts a user's name and email address, and the date,
using fields.
This document prints correctly, as all these fields are
updated on printing, but the user is left looking at a
document with incorrect data until then, which can be a
bit confusing.
Can I include something in the template to cause Word to
update the fields whenever a new document is created
based on it?
I am aware of http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?
scid=kb;EN-US;212703
However, I can't get this to autorun from the template in
question - the macro works if run manually in the
template, but is not listed as available in
the "daughter" document, and doesn't operate when it is
created.
Surely there must be a way to do this?
Thanks for any help you can give.
