Hi All,

MS just released an update for Office 2004 (version 11.3) and
Messenger (6.0.1). You can either run the auto-update or go to
http://www.mactopia.com/ to get the updates in the Download section.

(stability and security fixes).

I downloaded the office updater and when I run it, it tells me that it
is going to look to be sure I have the right software to run this
updater...meaning that I have the correct OSX version (which I do). I
read the readme to be sure I have the right OS version.

it them tells me I don't have to right OS Version and quits. Since I
do have the right OSX version as indicated in the readme, what do I do
to run the updater successfully?

Hi John:

We see your question, but we don't have an answer yet.

Do you have a "standard" installation of Microsoft Office 2004? I'm just
wondering if the thing that's confusing it is the Office installation not
the OS.

Cheers

(To eliminate the obvious:)

You are using the Office:2004 update for Office:2004, or the Office X
update for Office X, aren't you? Obviously, if you are using the wrong
updater, it won't work!
