Update from subproject to master project

Hello,

Project Server 2007 SP2 + dec CU:
I have several subprojects (work packages) grouped into one master project.
I need that the updates of work-packages are made only by the work-package
managers.
So if the program manager opens the master project, he is not able to modify
any work-package.
How is it possible to set this security requirement?

Robert:

Unless you make the projects read-only for that user, you cannot do this, as
the ability to open and edit in Project is simply that. You get access to
everything. There is no way to secure parts of a plan.

So, what would be the easiest way to make the sub-projects read-only for
that user?
