Update goes to 77% then error

Office update goes to 77% and then says that the site is experiencing
technical difficulties. I just installed Office 2003 Pro after uninstalling
Word 2001. Any suggestions? I'm about to try that thing where you delete
opuc.dll file to see if that works.
