update image / picture

Hi,
is there a way in Visio to update the images / pictures in a group.

when looking at the drawing explorer I see my shape as a group
with 4 shapes, three of those are pictures with the picture icon next
to them in the drawing explorer...

is there a way to replace the pictures with another picture?

I look at .import but that creates another group under the main shape with
the picture in it...

I hope I make myself clear...

thanks in advance

Image itself seems cannot be replaced in the shape that contains the image.
But the shape that contains image can be added to the group and can be
deleted.
Thus you might be able to replace the images in the group.

thanks, that gave me the clue I was looking for,
through the macro recorder I found AddToGroup and RemoveFromGroup on the
Selection object, but in Visio 2000 it is part of the Window object... :-(

I will see if I can do what I need with this knowledge.

My idea is that ungroup the group and regroup the shapes and the shapes that
has images.

Hi Michael,

Off the top of my head, I might suggest trying a paste-link of the images
when you create the shape.

Try Insert > Object, browse to an image, then check "Link to file". I
couldn't get it to work, but then again, I'm travelling through New Zealand
and can be excused : )

Hope this helps,
