Update in Project Server

We have uploaded our contractors' schedules to Project Server. The Project
Server is located on a network that is inaccessible from the outside. On a
monthly basis, we receive schedule update from each of our contractors.
Please advise how we can update the published schedules with the latest
updates from our contractors.

Thanks in advance.

SonT, the only way to update your project schedule is to do it manually. Once
a Project is in Project Server you are not able to overwrite it with another
"external" schedule.
If you have not worked on the project at all, you can delte the last project
and import the latest proejct schedule, but if you have worked on the Project
Server SChedule, you will only be able to manually update this schedule.
Alternetafly you could give "remote" access to your Project Server and ask
your contractors to fill it out with remote access. That would overcome your
issue

Marc,

Are there any back-end methods? Meaning tapping into the database. Or
write a VBA code to pull the updated data from the contractors' schedule?

I know you mentioned updating manually is the only option. If you could
think of anything else, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks.

If you by "back-end methods" are thinking of modifying values in the
database outside of the business logic, I would strongly advice against
that. For instance, no checks can be made on the modifications you do if you
do it behind the back of the server.

Thanks,

Could I import the contractor schedule into my project file prior to
publishing? This way I can establish linkages between the two. Thank you.
