I have just bought a new Compaq Presario 8110 with XP Home and all updates
done. Installed XP office student/teacher eddition. MS Office update is OK
with SP1 and SP2 and other 5 suggested updates, but can't handle KB824938
(Office XP WordPerfect 5.x Converter). During update I'm requested to put in
CD Microsoft Word 2002. Then I will get the message that "The file Microsoft
Word 2002 is no longer a valid installationspacket for the product Microsoft
Word 2002 . Look for a folder who contains the installationspacket
WORDRET.MSI and try installing Microsoft Word from there." (Translated from
the swedish message).
So far I have tried to find WORDRET.MSI with no luck. Repairing the Word2002
or the XP Office have had no effect. Everything else seems to work fine. Any
ideas?

I think I can answer my own question now. It appears that there is a fault
in the way Office Update works. This patch "KB824938"
was ment for a standalone installation of Word 2000. How it appears on the
update of the whole Office packet is a different question.
