Update links automatically

After I've done a paste link form Excel or another Word
doc, I get a dialog box each time I open the doc that has
the link in it asking if I want to update the link. Is
there a way to supress the dialog box and automatically
update the link without being bothered each time?

Hi Nolene,

I am not sure that I would really recommend it, but under
Tools>Options>General, you can uncheck the "Update automatic links at open"
item.
