Have attempted an office update via office update. After
the download and during the installation I was prompted
to insert my office disk for a required file. My office
program came with the operating sys. (xp home). So I
inserted the xp disk and the file was not there. Now at
every boot the windows installer attempts to install
update until the missing file is needed. Previous to this
update I reformatted and reinstalled XP and all hardware
and software and service pack 2. I have a clean running
system. I fear that if the installer is going to attempt
an installation to office at every boot and can't because
of the missing file there will be problems in the future.
Is there a way to free up the installer or delete the
update so the installation is attempted at every boot.
Thank you Troy
