Update of MSP_VIEW_PROJ_ASSN_TP_BY_DAY?

Hi,

Since a few months we are struglling in the view 'Resource
Availability'. For one of the projects this view is not updated anymore
since a certain date. If you open the project via the 'project center'
you can see assigned work and actuals. All other projects are still
updated OK in the Resource Availability' View. I have been looking
around in the tables and found in MSP_VIEW_PROJ_ASSN_TP_BY_DAY that for
the specific project the data is not updated so I assume that if I know
how the data in these tables is generated, I can find out the cause of
the problem.

Does anyone know what the (stored) procedures are to update the tables
for the 'resource availability'. Other tips to solve this problem are
ofcourse also welcom...

Thanks a lot!

Kenneth

Hi Rod,

That seems to be the problem that the update is not done anymore for
this project. I have published and republished several teams and there
is no change on that table. Any idea where I can find what stored
procedures are used when a project is published?

If all other projects update without problem, then you may have a corrupted
project. You need to consider copy the data into a new project then
archiving or deleting the old one once you are happy all data has gone
across OK.

we are on SP1 (11.0.6707.0)

I'm downloading the SP2a now...

Let us know if that solves the problem. Don't forget to apply SP2 to your
Project Clents.

Thanks Gary, our problem seems to be solved.

What I did is:

updating the tables with the UPgdb112.cmd
installed SP2a
deleted the project from the db
Saved and published it again from file.

We are currently testing if no new or other problems are created but
this seems to be the solution.

About the SP2 for the clients: Do you know of possible issues if server
and client are not on the same SP version? If so what do we have to
upgrade first, Client or Server?

Microsoft officially says no, but we don't agree. I suggest you apply the SP
to the clients as quickly as possible.
