update office 2000 why I have new office 2003

do i need to update office 2000 sr-1 release, when i have
just installed new office 2003. Office updates is saying
i need to add this critical update for office 2000. Why
do i need to do this????

Do you have any Office 2000 programs still installed? Check under Control
Panel->Add/Remove programs to verify.
