Update Office 2000 with Microsoft GDI+ Detection Tool (KB873374)?

I keep getting messages that I need to install the Microsoft GDI+ Detection
Tool (KB873374), but my version of Office is Office2000, and I don't use it.
Is it really critical that I install Microsoft GDI+ Detection Tool (KB873374)?
