update permission

I'm using Access 2003 SP3. My database was converted to Access 2000-2003
format using Convert Database in Tools/Database Utilities/. Run Permissions
are set to Owner's, User and Group Permissions are set to Updata Data etc.
When I try to update, I get Error 80040e09, "Cannot update. Database or
object is read-only".
How/where can I undo the read-only setting?
