Update Problems

Hi,
I just installed Office 2003 service pak and now I am unable to open or save
documents in Excel or Word to "My Documents" folder which is on our network
drive. I can do do with Powerpoint and Publisher but when I try the other
programs it gives me an "Access is Denied" pop up. Any ideas on what is wrong
or how I can fix it?

Hi,

This is a problem related to the permissions of My documents folder in the
server.

Check the security settings for my documents folder in the network .

Check if you have any denial permissions set in a upper level folders that
contains My documents folder.

We had our netwrok guy in today and he said that was not the problem. Excel
now accesses it fine but Word doesn't. Publisher and Powerpoint have no
problems. And the strange thing is that if I restart the machine and open
Word it can access that folder fine. If I close it and then reopen Word it
denies access. I tried adding it as an exception in the Windows Firewall also.
