Update Query

I have an update query that is base off of another query. When I run the
update query it only changes the data in the regular query, but not in the
table. Am I missing something simple.

An update query updates fields in tables. It does not change the data in
another query, it can't. Select queries show the data from the table.

Are you executing the query (Query: Run) or are you just switching to
datasheet view? Just switching an update query to datasheet view does not run
the update. It should just show you which records will be updated when you
RUN the query.
