Update (??) seems to have deleted all folders and emails in Outloo

I open my Outlook express this morning to find everything GONE. It seems to
be a slightly new format, so I'm assuming an auto update took place since I
was last on the computer. Nothing has ever been deleted on previous updates,
so I'm very confused. I went to open the archives (just in case), and
nothing has changed. They seem empty. Any suggestions?
