Update shape on one sheet, subsequent shapes on other sheets also

Brucer

I have a very detailed shape on one sheet. I would like to use this a a
"master". I will copy this master to other sheets. I would like to be able
to update the master and have all the related shapes on subsequent pages
update as well.

Is this possible>

Yes, Visio calls this feature "masters" even. You need to drag your shape
into a stencil to make it a master. Go to File > Shapes > Show Document
Stencil to open the stencil containing all the master shapes used in your
document. Drag your shape here. Drag your shape back onto the drawing as
many times as you want to use it. Double-click your shape in the Document
Stencil to edit it. Your changes will be pushed out to the shapes in the
drawing.
