Update Standard when Professional is Installed

I have a user who purchased Office 2003 Professional edition but received and
installed the Standard edition instead. Once the mistake was noticed, the
vendor replaced her Standard edition with the Professional edition and I went
in and installed Publisher from the Professional edition but left the old
install of Word, Excel, Powerpoint.

Now, when trying to update, I get an Error 1327 invalid disc... I looked up
this error message at the MS KB and the solutions are not applicable. Can
anyone tell me if I can do the updates somehow (have already tried the
"fullfile" install) or do I have to do a complete uninstall of the Standard
and re-install of the Professional?
