Update to Access 2000

Using Access 2000 - just opened file - pop-up says file
written in newer version of Access, so I need an update.
What do I need, without taking the whole Office Update?

You can purchase Access 2002 separately from Office XP, but I understand the
price difference is negligible.
If possible, you might request that whoever sent you the file save it to
Access 2000 format.

If the database contains any "features" not supported in Access 2000, you may
wish to wait a couple of weeks and pick up Office 2003 - don't bother with
getting either Access 2002 or Office XP
