Update Visio text boxes from text file.

I have been working on this for a while but I haven't got it yet.
Thanks for any comments to get me going in the right direction.

Requirement:
A Visio diagram contains a large number of circles (>300) that represent
the pins of a chip. Each circle has a short text string describing the
pin name. The master list of the pin names is in an Excel workbook.
Each row in the workbook has the name of one pin. Update the text
strings in the Visio drawing from the data in the Excel file so that the
two are consistent.

I am using Visio2002 standard.
