Update Word 2002 (KB920817) refuses to install

This required update refuses to install. It incorrectly detects an
adminsitered environment but I a single user with an OEM-installed licence to
MS-Works including Word. I have the legal set of CDs with all of Works.

Your OEM may have used an administrative installation. If you have all the
CDs, then try uninstalling and re-installing Word and trying the patch
again.
