We have created an enterprise custom field called RFC Number that is a
generated
number for audit purposes. The user goes to the intranet and generates
the
number which updates the task via PSI. However, in testing this, we get
the
following behavior:
Intranet Projects 2008 - made sure it was saved and published. Left
project
plan OPEN
Went to Intranet and generated RFC number for a task. 81301 (Adds RFC
Number to PWA_PUBLISHED)
Closed and reopened MS Project and no RFC number on MS Project
Proj Center - shows 81301
Res Center - shows 81301
My Tasks - shows 81301
My timesheet - shows 81301
Intranet Projects 2008 - opened and added new task. Saved and
published.
CLOSED project plan
Went to Intranet and generated RFC number for task. 81302 (Adds RFC
Number
to PWA_PUBLISHED)
Proj Center - shows 81302
Res Center - shows 81302
My tasks - shows 81302
My timesheet - does not show 81302
no RFC# in Project Professional
In both cases the RFC numbers do not show in MS Project.
Any thoughts? We are updating the Published database. Any help would
be
greatly appreciated!
