updated, now can't open any files

I just downloaded all of the Office Updates for my Office
XP SBE edition, and now, when I try to open a document in
any Office program, an alert pops up saying "The file
[filename] is not available." Needless to say, this is a
huge problem.

Any suggestions?

I couldn't agree more!

Try finding *any* reference to the Office Plug-in bugs in the Symantec
Knowledgebase, or documentation on the updates they have made to the
Office Plug-in DLL correcting some of the bugs.
