Updated Tasks in PWA are not reflected on Project Plan

CJRichards

I am the PM for project A. I assign Task 1 to John doe.

John Doe logs into PWA and under My Tasks he sees the task I assigned
him

John updates his progress from 0% to 50% and then saves and submites
his update

I get an email notice about the change and go to the Task Updates
section on PWA and see the submitted change

I accept the change.

I then open project in Project Profesional and the change is not
reflected.

I go back to the Task Update screen review the audit log of past
changes and republish the update.

Still not reflected in the Project Plan. I review the project in PWA
same thing. I close everything and reopen. Still shows 0%.

Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

I'm rather new to this, so i'm just commenting.

When accepting the change, make sure to publish it, and that is the
button in the upper right. That is after click accept all changes (or
using the drop-downs for single-acceptations).

If Project is open, it should pretty much immediately popup and tell
the user that the project has been updated.

Make sure the task is being updated on the same server. That is, if
the updates are happening via the link in the email, make sure its the
same project server (and not dev instead of production like we had it
once.) That setting is in Admin=>Server Configuration=>Server intranet
address (or extranet).

If all that is set, check the event log on the server. It mayl display
errors to the MSP_VIEW tables, which is what PWA uses. Currently, we
are stuck with such an issue.

I assume this is P2007?
It sounds like you are doing nothing wrong. Have you checked the queue?
