Updated to TR2 . . . now unable to open Office documents

I updated to TR2 today, and am now completely unable to open Office dfocuments.

For instance, when I open MS Word, I get the following errors when the
application is opening the normal template:

Word cannot open this template
...\A20MSW11.DOT

When I click on OK to get past that one, the next error message that comes
up says:

Word cannot open this template
...|Blogger.dot

The normal template then loads, but without the settings that were present
in the Word 2007 beta 2 release.

When I try to open a file, wheter it was created with Word 2007 beta 2 or an
earlier version, I get the following message:

The file (filemname) is not available.

It doesn't matter how I navigate to the file, TR2 returns the same message.

The files are there, and I can open them from other locations on the network
with the beta 2 install, or with earlier versions if the file was created in
the earlier format.

I'm stumped. Anybody got any ideas as to why this would happen, and has
anybody seen this before?

Thank you very much . . . it's working now.

I'm becoming more grumpy with Symantec as we move through the migration
process to Vista and Office 2007 . . . they are not playing well with the new
products, and completely uninstalling them is a test of patience that the
bliblical Job would be able to appreciate.
