Updates for Office 97 on XP

Hope this is not confusing.

I'm using Office 97 and hope I don't have to change any time soon...seems to
me a lot of the "new" features just make it unnecessarily more difficult to
navigate and use the programs.

BUT ON TO THE QUESTIONS...I have had several inquiries on work using Outlook
2003 for contact lists. Normally I would put these into an Access database
and then export them for use in another program. However, Access 97 does not
appear to be compatible with Outlook 2003. I think I can create an Excel file
that will import into Outlook 2003, but cannot check because I don't have OL
2003.

I did successfully create a table in Access 97 from an Excel file exported
from OL 2003. If I export the Access 97 table as an Excel 97 file, can it be
successfully imported back into OL 2003?

One client says they're using Outlook from Office Tools 2003. Is it possible
I can just install this program or just OL 2003 without getting rid of my
Office 97? (When I installed Office 2000 alongside 97, the 97 program kept
trying to convert work to 2000.)

Thanks for any help out there.

Outlook and Office versions must match in order for interoperability.
