Updates not loaded during setup

Hello,

I tried to create a new installation CD for Office 2007, including the
updates. I downloaded the updates (the
office2007-kbnnnnnn-fullfile-x86-glb.exe files) and copied them in the
Updates folder, but after installing the Office and run Microsoft updates I
realized that no updates have been installed. To be mentioned that I have
Windows Installer 3.1 on my computer. Can somebody please tell me what am I
doing wrong?

Did you create your CD using the steps here?

Hi Liviu,

In order for the Office 2007 updates to be applied from the \Updates folder,
you must first extract the .MSP files from the self-extracting .EXE's using
the command:

<filename of patch>.exe /extract:<path to existing folder> switch and then
place the .MSP files in the \Updates folder.

NOTE: You must first create the target folder as it will not be created
automatically.
