Updates Office 2003 - aborts

I tried to update Office 2003. It shows two files - one a security file and the other a Outlook Junk mail file. Turned off Virus and Firewall wne went to Office Update as directed by MS email. It did its things and said I needed the two files. I said download. It looked like it went about half way through and then aborted. Now I go back through the process again and it quickly says unsuccessful. It is as if I have the partial files someplace but can not be executed

Please help me delete what I have to delete and what I have to do to install the updates

I might note this is the first time I have ever had a MS update problem from the time they began doing these updates in this fashion.

I just had the exact problem you described. Hope someone can share a
solution.

Also had this problem on different machines. Suggest
that you look on the Office 2003 download site and
download and install the two files separately - this
worked for me

I've had this happen once and I think you're correct when
you say that you have a cached file lurking about. I
went to my internet explorer properties and deleted my
temp files there and was then able to download the files
suggested.
