Tried to open .wk4 file with excel 2003. No way. Find out that SP 3 prevents
it. HMPH! Uninstalling whole Office. Rebooting pc. Installing office again.
No way. Got the file opened with Lotus 1-2-3 and saved to xls file. Ok, now
got it open with excel, but also got a note: Microsoft Visual Basics Compile
error in hidden module: ThisWorkBook.

How do I get rid of that??

(No more Office SP 3 for me, thanks....)

Excel
To enable Office 2003 to open files that are saved in previous Excel
formats, follow these steps: 1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and
then click OK.
2. Locate and then click one of the following registry subkeys: •
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Excel\Security\FileOpenBlock

•
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Excel\Security\FileOpenBlock

3. Double-click the LotusandQuattroFiles registry entry, type 0 in the Value
data box, and then click OK. Repeat this step for the DifandSylkFiles
registry entry.
