updates sent to Administrator...where are they

Where are the updates that go to the administrator?

I am the project manager for the project and the administrator. I have some
users that when they send there updates in from time entry, some go to the
project manager and some go to the administrator.

As the PM I get the updates and update the tasks. But I don't know what
happens to the updates that go to the administrator. So how do I get the
updates to go just to the project managers and not to the administrator...and
if they do go to the administrator, how do I find them and then update them.
(in case it makes a difference...as PM I have LAN authentication...the
administrator had MS Project )authentication)

Thanks Dale. I read the article. I did both...I am the owner (I verified
this) and I did go back into the project...and checked the box that made me
the manager of all tasks. So, I still didn't get the updates that were sent
earlier today to the Administrator (not sure where they are)...and...I have
done made myself the manager of all tasks on earlier dates. So, I have 2
problems 1) am I able to find/view/update the updates that were sent to the
Adminstrator earlier today...and 2) why did some of the tasks from the same
user go to the Administrator and some to me (is it possible that any new
tasks that the resource sets up goes to the administrator and not to the
owner...who's the manager of any new tasks created if they are not created by
the owner or manager?) (note: I am using MS Project Server 2003)...thanks in
advance.

If the Administrator was the original owner/manager of the project, and then
you took over as the owner/manager, but then one or more resources created
new tasks, then one of the problems with Project Server is that is sends the
new tasks to the original owner/manager (the Administrator) instead of you.
If believe that describes your current situation. To get around this
problem, you could do one of the following:

1. Save the project as an .mpp file, delete the project, and then import
the project using the Import Projects Wizard
2. Tell team members in this project to contact you personally about new
tasks and then you create the new tasks in the Microsoft Project plan

Just some thoughts. Perhaps the others have some ideas also.

Thanks Dale...that explains the mystery. I'll reimport the project...not a
big deal. Thanks for sticking with this question...I certainly appreciate it.
