updates to student & teachers edition

Every time I try to update Office 2003 for student &
teachers it downloads and then will not install. Message
says unable to complete install. Is this due to this
editiion not supporting updates?

Hi, Tom,

No, updates should be supported, just not upgrades to the next major
release. Would you post back with how you're trying to update? Are you
using the automatic update utility on the Web site, or are you downloading
each update directly and installing it? Whichever you're trying, try the
alternative method as a workaround. If you can't get it patched, post back
with exactly what the error message says, and at what point in the patch
process.
