Updates to Word 2000 SP3

I'm trying to find a list of MS updates that are available for installation
on top of Word 2000 SP3.
Can anyone please point me in the right direction?

Many thanks

Keith Cordon.

Easiest way is to use Microsoft (NOT Windows Update) Update
in the custom mode. That way it will list all the updates
required for your Microsoft programs on your computer. You
can then choose which updates you desire to install.

Of course you can go here
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/downloads/CD010225771033.aspx
and pick and choose which updates are required. It is a lot
harder to do it this way.

Thanks. That is useful information but I'm not looking to install the updates
(my organisations PC build prevents me from doing so in any case), I'm
looking for the list of updates that are available and should be applied on
top of Word 2000 SP3.
I guess another way to ask this question would be, what is the most
up-to-date version of Word 2000?
I'll take a look at the URL you supplied to see if I can extract the
information.

Thanks again

Keith C.

I was given a copy of what I thought was Micrsoft Office 200 Pro, but all it
contains is the shorcuts not the files. After having to just clean up a big
mess I was told to download updates, but can I do that with just the shorcuts
on my system? Feeling very frustrated and stupid!

You cannot do anything if only shortcuts are on the install CD. Only good for a
coaster

I agree at this point. So do I go to free downloads through microsoft and
download a new one? Will it transfer what information I have in Excel now?
Thanks!

No, you cannot download a new free copy of it. You need to pay for Office. I
would suggest Amazon.com to get the best price.

And you will not lose your Excel spreadsheets if you created them. If you
are counting on the guy who gave you bootleg software to have copied them
onto a CD for you, you may have find you have nothing to save.
