Upgrade 2000 to 2003?

Is it worth it for a home user who primarily uses Excel & Outlook? I don't
do too much web stuff. Normally I wouldn't consider it but I have a pretty
good deal starring me in the face.

Since Office 2000 is nearing the end of support from Microsoft, I would go
ahead and get it, especially if it is a good deal. You will have 4 more
years of support with Office 2003 than with Office 2000.

Would I be giving up much to go with XP for home use instead of 2003? Does
it have the new interface for Outlook?

Thanks... Bob

Here is a comparison table between Office XP and Office 2003:

http://www.microsoft.com/office/editions/prodinfo/compare.mspx

In addition to the comparison table, Outlook does have new features not
listed. However, the interface is the same.

As I have no idea as to your need. I do not know what you would be giving up
that is important to you. Also, I do know what price comparisons you as
using to judge the value of features in Office 2003 not in Office XP.
