Upgrade 2000 to 2007 Now Cmd button on-click events don't trigger

Hi, I upgraded a 2000 mde to 2007.
The database opend a splash creen form with an on timer event to close the
form and open the main menu form.
The main menu for is basicaly a list of command buttons that hide the main
menu form and open other forms.
The on-timer never triggers.
I open the main menu form directly but clickilng on any of the command
buttins doesn't triger the event.
The code is there but it never gets executed?
All the forms can be opened from the forms navigation bar?
Any ideas??
