Upgrade Access?

Here at our company we have three versions of office
running. 97,2002 and 2003. Some of our databases are in
97, others are in 2002. Is there a way to open the 97
databases and work in them with out converting them in
Access 2003?

If so would be safe to upgrade everyone to Office 2003?

Thanks

sure access is backwards compatible with all other
versions of access and users could maintain the format if
they wished...

So if a user created a file in Access 97 Access 2003 will
not convert it automatically?

Just make sure when you open those Access 97 databases in
2003 you Open it Not Convert It.

So if a user created a file in Access 97 Access 2003 will
not convert it automatically?

No, but this issue also depends on what you mean by "work with". If you
open an A97 file with a later version and don't convert it then you will
only be able to work with the data, not the design of any objects.
