Upgrade breaks Palm Hotsync

Hi,

I have a Palm V, which used to Hotsync just fine in Outlook XP. Sure it
gave that annoying dialog about some program trying to access my addresses,
but at least if I clicked "Yes" it worked.

I upgraded to Outlook 2002 and now I can synchronise notes, appointments,
calendar, but not email.

I select "1 minute" and click "Yes" on the aforementioned annoying dialog,
but it doesn't seem to help -- and sometimes I see another dialog box flash
up on the screen briefly, and disappear before I can read it (but it looks
like the same dialog being displayed again).

Any great ideas?

Just so you know -- Outlook 2002 and Outlook XP are the same animal
The proper name is Outlook 2002; it's part of the Office XP suite. So I
assume you were using Outlook 2000 previously and had applied one of the
service packs that introduced the new security features.

What sync program are you using to sync with Outlook -- PocketMirror? If
so, go to www.chapura.com and make sure you have the latest version. I use
it with my Palm m505 and Outlook 2003, and I don't get the security prompt.

Shame on me for not getting my facts straight before posting.
Let me correct myself: I went from Outlook XP to Outlook 2003.
I was using Chapura's PocketMirror 3.1.5, and since I now see that there's a
3.1.6 I've downloaded that but still the same problems.
However, I get the impression that PocketMirror does Calendar, Contacts,
Tasks, and Notes, but not the email -- isn't the email done by Hotsync
itself? The Hotsync manager is version 4.1.0
So basically, I'm using the latest and greatest of everything, but it's not
working.

I gather from Microsoft's support site that the security prompt is something
system administrators can disable in Exchange, but I'd rather not bother him
unless I really have to.

help you take care of the security prompt. Details on this security feature
