Upgrade Explorer Version to 6.00

In attempting to solve a spyware problem, I somehow removed my most current
version of Internet Explorer to its prior version , and now I am on Version
5.00.2614.3500IS. Can I (and should I) move to a more recent version? How do
I do that?
