Upgrade from 2003 to 2007 and from desktop to laptop

I have a new Toshiba laptop and am trying to upgrade and transfer my Outlook
2003 files from my old desktop to the laptop with Vista and Outlook 2007
(that I had to purchase because Toshiba put 2000 on it!). I have
successfully transferred my inbox, calendar & contacts. I can receive emails
but can not send emails.

Any ideas what my problem is?!

First tell us what method you used to transfer your data...then tell us if
you get any error messages when you try to send messages, and if so, what
they are.

I copied the 2003 files onto an external hard drive then imported them into
2007. I had tried exporting the 2003 files, putting them on the external
hard drive, then importing them but it didn't work. I can access my emails,
tasks, & calendar. And, am right now importing the address book. I did this
before & had access to them, but when I checked there a few minutes ago, they
were gone! My husband tells me that I have a bad affect on computers!

The error message I get is -- error 0x800CCC80 "None of the authentication
methods supported by this client are supported by your server."

Any help you can give me will be appreciated

First off, there is no need to import data from a .PST file into Outlook --
it's the native Outlook file format so you just need to open the .PST file
within Outlook using File, Open, Outlook Data File.

for general information on what is happening. If you use a popular ISP such
as Comcast or Verizon, you may find specific instructions for your e-mail
account settings in the list at
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/HA010982531033.aspx. If not, you
will need to contact your ISP and get the correct settings -- they often have
the information somewhere on their websites.
