Upgrade from 98 to 2k Office Issue

i recently upgraded a 98 machine to 2k... all went
well.. but, when opening Outlook it asks to change from
the 98 version to 2k compliant version... it asks for
the data1.msi from the Office 2k standard edition... i
have the professional edition and the .msi is not
compatible... i cannot uninstall due to this same
issue...no Standard disk... can anyone help?

What do you show as the installed version of Office under Control
Panel->Add/remove programs?
