Upgrade from a earlier vers of 2007 beta problems

I have racked my brains and searched the MS world to solve this error problem
as I have 20 + years at this but do not have an answer for this one... I try
to refreash my office 2007 beta install and I keep getting the mesage "please
remove files from pre-release version of 2007 office and associated products.
I have uninstalled the previous vers from the control panel, used the MS
install cleanup, cleaned my temp area, and have tried some reg edits to no
avail. Any Ideas would be helpful.

Hi Wanman,

If you're trying to install the 2007 Office system Gold (Released) products then there may still be a beta item that doesn't get
listed under the "Microsoft Office..." grouping in Add/Remove Programs,
such as the items listed in this MS article:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927222/en-us?FR=1
If all of the items listed are already removed follow the link to the sister MS article at the bottom of this one for the procedure
to remove the left over bits and pieces.

Note that due to changes in the way 2007 installs are handled MS generally suggests not using the MS Installer cleanup utility on
2007 products, especially the release versions.

Bob,

Thank you Thank you. I have a client that has requested that I move to 2007
but being a beta tester I could not get the junk off my machine. By following
the second doc letter for letter I was able to get it now so I can install
the new software. Thanks again.
