Can I upgrade my MS office 200 Premium to Office 2007 professional with only
buying the upgrade ?

I just bought a new laptopn with vista 64 bit and I really want to have the
office professional package instead of just the premium.

Thanks for any help you can offer : )

this pricing page lists all the qualifiying products for upgrade, i.e. what
you need to qualify for the upgrade
.....but don't necessarily believe the prices there, e.g. Home and Student as
well as Small Business are on back to school sale now, just click onto those
versions' pages.

btw, i couldn't find ""200 Premium"" anywhere on the lists. i'd be
interested in seeing a copy. is it in stone? ;)

Hi Gail,

Your Office 2000 Premium Edition is a qualifier for an of the upgrade packages of Office 2007 http://office.microsoft.com/suites
you don't need to 'match' editions or set of apps in the edition. Note that there isn't a 64-bit specific MS Office desktop app
product line.

Before installing the upgrade determine if you need any of the MS Office 2000 series products/apps/tools that are no longer included
in the 2007 series line and uninstall those you will not need. If you have not installed Office 2000 already on your Vista machine
it isn't necessary for it to be installed when you install an Office 2007 upgrade product, only that you have the CD available
during the installation of the Office 2007 product.

Gail, since you plan to upgrade from Office 2000, you may want to check out
the new UI Office 2007 has, before you spend the $$$s.

You can see some screenshots of the UI on the MS website and/or download a
trial version. Try it before you buy it.

I tried it for a few weeks and for various reasons, opted to remove the
trial version and revert to Office 2003.
