Upgrade from MS Office 2000 Professional edition to 2003 Office Ba

I had MS Office 2000 Professional edition on my computer. Recently I
purchased MS Office Basic Edition 2003 for my college students new laptop. I
also installed this on my compter so we would have the same editions for
homework when she is home. I now noticed that some of the old office
versions are gone. Like Publisher and Access. I realize that I downgraded my
update but I only wanted to update Excel & Word thinking that the Access &
Publisher would still be there.
How do I get them back? I have an assignment for work to do this w/e.....

Hi Joann, thank you. I was going to do that but fear that it will change
them all. The upgrade can only be used 3 times and I used them
twice.....here goes. I'll let you know if it works. I think I am going to
install manually.

Do a custom installation and only pick the programs you're missing. Don't do
a Typical or whatever it's called.

I'm pretty sure that means it can only be used on three machines -
you're allowed to reinstall on the same machine as many times as you need.

Well, within reason. You forget that there are poeple out there who reformat
every couple of months for whatever reason. Eventually it ain't gonna work
(or so I would think).

From a licensing point of view, you're allowed to do what you want on a
single machine (provided you don't multiboot). Activation might make
things slightly hairier, but if the hardware doesn't change, your
installation ID (hopefully) won't change, so the activation server will
continue to give you codes. Even if it fails, you should be able to use
phone activation.

I think you and I aren't 100% certain because we don't do reformats every
other month. ;-)

Nope - I for one value what little sanity I have!
