Upgrade from Office XP Professional to Office 2007

I have a boxed, licensed version of Office XP Professional and a new
computer with Vista.

I have 3 questions:

1 - If I download the Microsoft® Office Small Business 2007 from the
microsoft website, am I able to opt for the upgrade version (as
opposed to the full version) after the trial has finished.

2 - In order to validate my copy of Office XP professional, does the
upgrade require that the the XP Professional is installed onto the
computer?

3 - If, on an upcoming trip to the USA, I buy the boxed version of
Microsoft® Office Small Business 2007 upgrade, is this the same
software that I would buy in the UK?

Regards,

Mark

Hi Mark,

You can convert a trial edition to an upgrade license. You don't need to preinstall an older version to install an upgrade edition
if you have the prior (2000 or higher) Office CD available.

The local subsidiaries have some control over localized packaging and 'added content', but Office 2007 is 'language neutral' (i.e.
even English is an 'added' feature, so the product CDs in the U.S. would show, for example, folders named things like Office.en-us,
while one from Great Britain could show Office.en-gb, but it should generally be functionally the same underlying product.
