Upgrade from Office XP to Office 2007 Outlook/Word problem.

Whether I do a clean install or an upgrade to Office 2007 I get a pop up
error in Word and sometimes in Outlook 2007 that says: "There is currently
another instance of Word running. There is no need to have more than one
instance opened." Word then shuts down and I have to revert back to Office
XP.

Office XP was which version? Office 20007 is which version? Did you try to install 2
different versions of Outlook. Explain.

Uninstalling: Microsoft Outlook 2002 (10.6838.6845) SP3

Installing: Microsoft Outlook 2007 (12.0.6425.1000)

To clarify:

I am uninstalling the entire Office 2002 (XP) suite (Outlook, Word, Excel,
Access, PowerPoint) and installing Microsoft Office 2007 Standard (Outlook,
Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
