Upgrade from Outlook 98 to Outlook 2003 CRM edition

I am about to upgrade from Outlook 98 to Outlook 2003.
(I want the CRM edition of Outlook 2003)

Is thre anything I can or should do so when installg
Office 2003 Pro that will ensure the Upgrade takes all my
contacts and e-mails correctly.
What I hope will happen is that it will be a seamless
upgrade and everything will be automatically transfred
over.
I do plan to export my contacts from Outlook 98 to a Back
up file on the hard drive just in case all does not go
well. Other than that is there anything else I should be
doing?

I am not a fan of in place upgrades. You will almost always end up with a
corrupt profile, especially if you upgrade from IMO mode. Are you only
updating Outlook, and not the rest of Office?
Just be sure you save your Outlook Data File (PST file) and then reconnect
to it with your new installation:

P.S. Do not export. You will lose data. Just copy your PST file.
