Upgrade Office 2007 Basic to 2007 Standard

Hi All

I have just bought 4 new pcs with OEM installs of Office 2007 Basic for our
small business. Unfortunately I thought I was buying Office 2007 Standard,
so we are missing PowerPoint. I didn't even realise there was such a thing
as Office Basic!

Is it possible to upgrade Office Basic to Standard? I don't really want to
buy 4 retail copies of PowerPoint for £200 each!

Annoyingly the difference in price between Office Basic and Office Small
Business (which would have given us both PowerPoint and Access) when specing
the pcs was only £80 each, so it looks like I made an expensive mistake!

Small Business does not include Access.

If all you are missing is PowerPoint, buy the upgrade of PowerPoint instead
of the upgrade to Standard. It's about half of the price. (My page shows US
prices). This is what you need for the upgrade:

Office PowerPoint 2007 $229/$109.95
Microsoft PowerPoint 2000–2002; Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003; Microsoft
Works 6.0–10; Microsoft Works Suite 2000–2006 or later; any 2000-2007
Microsoft Office suite; any Microsoft Office XP suite

Office Standard 2007 $399.95/$239.95
Microsoft Works 6.0–10; Microsoft Works suite 2000–2006 or later; any
2000–2007 Microsoft Office program or suite; any Microsoft Office XP suite
except Office XP Student and Teacher.

Yes its possible to purchase an upgrade, you were supplied with the Office
OEM disks werent you?
Review the various editions to correctly decide which you need, eg Std, SBE,
Pro

If you want Access and PowerPoint, you need Office Pro. Once again, you can
purchase the upgrade to keep your costs down.
