I recently upgraded my Frontpage 2002 to Frontpage 2003 on my desktop
computer, using the Upgrade version of 2003. The 2002 version previously on
my desktop was also an upgrade, from Frontpage 2000 upgrade and that was an
upgrade from Frontpage for Windows 95 which was the only non-upgrade version
I have ever bought -- my first one.
I stll have the CD's from 2002, 2000 and the 1.44 floppy set from Win 95
Frontpage.
Did not seem to have any problem at all upgrading on my desktop.
Apparently, it was happy with the 2002 upgrade. I also have a couple of
legal elements of MS Office on my desktop -- Word & Excel -- but the
Frontpage was from a standalone upgrade copy. So, can't say for sure what
it was that satisfied the upgrade 2003 but something did.
Anyway, I would like to put Frontpage 2003 on my laptop, which is fairly new
and has no previous version on it. How do I do that? Showing it my copy of
Upgrade 2002 did not seem to impress it.
Also, what happens when I buy a new desktop computer in a year or so? Is
that not going to present the same problems as I am having with my desktop
now?
I do not have a 1.44 drive on my laptop and doubt that I will have one on
any new desktop I buy. So, if the solution is putting my original Win95
Frontpage into the computer, will I have to buy a 1.44 USB drive just for
that purpose? (Should be cheap, anyway.)
Or is there some other way to do this?
