Upgrade or full version?

B

Beth - ;)

When I bought my computer last year it had a trial version of 2003 Office
(Student&Teachers). I did not activate it once the trial ran out because I
did not know if I could just get the upgrade or if I had to pay for the full
version. Then Vista came out and I did not want that. I still did not know
anyway whether to upgrade or get full version and do not qualify for the
Student&Teacher anyway. I do not want to buy the upgrade if it is not right
since I cannot return it and do not want to pay for the full version if I do
not have to do so. Also, Word is probably the only part of it I would use;
can I just get the Word upgrade?

You can purchase Word at many local retailers (Best Buy, Fry's, etc). They
sale them individually and as a bundle.

You need full version. The least expensive way to get word is to purchase
the latest version of Works Suite (not just Works). It will get you Word
2002. Not the latest version but it may suit your needs. You will not get
Excel and PowerPoint with that tho. You need to figure out which Office
programs you need and then do your homework. If you do need one of Office's
editions, amazon.com generally has the best price.
