I have office 2000 Pro but only use Outlook, Word and Excel. Can I install an
office 2003 Standard upgrade over Professional?

Hi RSC,

Yes, you can choose any upgrade Edition of MS Office 2003. Note that when you install Office 2003 Standard Edition that any
programs from Office 2000 that aren't included in the new Edition will be left in place by the installer. (i.e. the default install
only removes the core apps that it can replace directly with new ones). You can uninstall Office 2000 from the Windows control
panel, Add/Remove Programs (before installing 2003 if you have the 2000 CDs).

Thank you. Sorry about the multiple post.
Must I uninstall office 2000 before upgrading or can I just upgrade to
Office 2003 over 2000?
Thanks again.

Hi RSC,

You don't need to uninstall Office 2000 before installing Office 2003. For installing Office 2003 upgrade edition you'll need to
have either an installed Office 2000 (in this case) edition or Office 2000 CDs to 'show' to the upgrade package during installation.
